The Pink Poutama Vest was created in homage to our beautiful Nan, who we recently lost to C$%#$R.

Nan had a real pizzazz for life. She loved anything blingy, bright and colourful, and brought that same sparkle into the lives of the people around her.

At the heart of this vest are words that Nan lived by: “Mahia i roto i te aroha.” Do everything with love. Those words are woven into the story behind this piece, and pink felt like the perfect colour to carry them.

Pink reflects the aroha, warmth and vibrancy Nan brought into our lives. It captures Nan’s love of colour and all things bright and blingy, while also holding a deeper significance. Pink is recognised around the world as the colour associated with breast cancer awareness, making it especially meaningful for a piece created in Nan’s memory.
